The post can be based in any office of the union, although national travel including to Central Office in Holborn will be expected.

The post-holder will co-ordinate the organising agenda and organisation activities of the Road Transport Commercial, Warehousing & Logistics Sector; including effective liaison with the Regions and the Union’s Central Departments, and with external organisations with the aim of protecting and promoting the interest of the Union and the jobs, pay and conditions of members.

Applicants for this role must conform to Rule 14.9.4 of the Union’s Rule Book in that they must be a current member of any recognised trade union and have been a financial fully paid-up member of their chosen trade union for at least two years immediately preceding the date of application for this role. The remuneration for this role is £87,179.00 rising to the substantive salary of £93,279.00 for this post - Grade 11. In addition, this role attracts an unsociable hour’s payment of £2,832.00 per annum.
