Heathrow Wilson James passenger assistance strikes suspended for pay offer ballot

Strikes by around 800 Heathrow workers employed by Wilson James to assist passengers with restricted mobility have been suspended due to an improved pay offer.
Unite, the UK’s leading union, will be balloting the workers on the new offer over the coming days.
Strike action scheduled to run from today (16 June) until Friday (20 June) will not take place.
Unite regional officer Martin West said: “Following an improved offer from Wilson James, Unite has suspended strikes in order to ballot its members on the new offer.”
