In response to the latest increase in inflation, which has been largely driven by last month’s rise in the energy price cap, Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said:

“Once again, the cost-of-living crisis is being driven by soaring energy prices.

"We need common sense solutions to this market madness – proper price caps and public control – to put pounds back in people’s pockets. Tinkering around the edges of a broken system won’t cut it.”
