Continuous strike action at Hovis starting today (24 September) has been called off following eleventh hour pay talks.

Around 60 Unite members working as distribution drivers at the Avonmouth, Bristol, site were due to walk out in a pay dispute.

However, following late night negotiations this has been paused to allow workers to vote on a new pay offer.

Unite regional officer John Sweeney said: “After fresh negotiations, we have decided to pause industrial action to allow members to have their say on a new offer from Hovis.”
