Unite workplaces and branches have been electing their workplace representatives and branch officers over the last quarter. The newly elected representatives hold office for the three years from 1 April 2022.

In each region the Regional Administration is writing to Unite activists and representatives to invite them to attend Regional Industrial Sector Conferences, Regional Equalities Conferences, Regional Young Members Conferences, Regional Retired Members Co-ordinating Conferences, Area Activists Meetings; and Regional Community Membership Conferences.

These conferences and meetings will elect the committees (see note below for community membership) that make up the first tier of democracy in Unite where delegates represent their whole constituency throughout the Region – the Regional Industrial Sector Committees, Regional Equalities Committees, Regional Young Members Committees, Regional Retired Members Co-ordinating Committees and Area Activists Committee. They will hold office from June 2022 for three years. These Committees will, in turn, elect representatives to the Regional Committee and National Committees that will hold office from July 2022 for three years.

Regional Community Membership Campaign Forums elect representatives to the Area Activists Committees, an observer to the Regional Committee and National Community Membership Campaign Forum.

If you are a newly elected workplace representative or branch officer and have not received an invitation to the relevant conference(s) three weeks prior to that conference date please contact the designated person shown on the attached list.
