Unite delivers wage win for East Kilbride based Ethigen drivers
An extra £1,600 secured with better terms and conditions
Unite, Scotland’s leading trade union, has successfully negotiated an improved pay deal for Ethigen distribution drivers based in East Kilbride.
Around 20 drivers will benefit from a wage win successfully negotiated by Unite amounting to an additional £1,600 over the next 12-months which will be backdated to 1 April.
The Ethigen drivers supply and distribute pharmaceutical products to independent and high street pharmacies across the UK.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: "Unite is delivering for our members at Ethigen. It’s a good deal which puts more money into our members’ pockets and secures them better pay and conditions.”
Unite industrial officer David McGurk added: “We are pleased to have successfully negotiated this wage win for our members. It demonstrates the value in being a member of Unite as the deal will help our members cope with the rising cost of living.”
