Planned strikes by 220 Unite members working for Wilson James at London Gatwick Airport have been suspended, after the employer put forward a new pay offer.

Workers who deal with assisting passengers on and off flights were due to walk out from 17 to 21 September, followed by further action on 23 to 26 September.

However, these strikes have now been called off to allow Wilson James workers to vote on a new pay offer following negotiations between Unite and the company.

Unite regional officer Ben Davis said: “After pay talks, Wilson James has come forward with a new, improved offer. In good faith, we have paused industrial action to allow members to have their say on whether they accept this.”
