Within Unite there are a number of associations.  Unite members who fall within the scope of a particular association will be placed within the association as well as being first and foremost a member of Unite.  

The role of the associations is to advocate for members and organise on issues that are specific to that professional group.  The associations will express a collective view on matters relevant to that profession.  The associations also organise information sessions and conferences on professional matters; members of the association will receive invites to such events.  

It is important to remember that whilst the associations have a very specific focus they are not separate from Unite and represent another way in which Unite supports and empowers its members.
