4.5 per cent uplift on basic pay and allowances
Unite, Scotland’s leading offshore trade union, can confirm that a significant pay rise has been successfully delivered for over 50 Altrad contractors working on the EnQuest contract.
The pay rise will bring Altrad employees in line with the offshore Energy Services Agreement (ESA) uplift of 4.5 per cent on basic pay and allowances.
The union’s membership in an effort to secure a better pay offer from Altrad had overwhelmingly backed strike action on the Magnus and Thistle Alpha platforms.
The Altrad contractors set to benefit from the pay increase include painters, blasters, scaffolders, thermal insulators, fabric maintenance technicians, charge hands, forepersons, and supervisors

Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: “Unite’s Altrad membership working on the EnQuest contract have got what they deserve. The pay victory was only achieved through the threat of strike action and our members being prepared to fight.”
“Unite will always stand up for our oil and gas members fighting for better jobs, pay and conditions.”
Unite industrial officer Vic Fraser, said: “Unite is pleased to have successfully negotiated a significant pay increase for Altrad workers The increase brings the contractors in line with the Energy Services Agreement uplift, and it ends the threat of industrial action on EnQuest’s assets.
