Unite responds to decision to freeze interest rates
- Thursday 19 March 2026
In response to today’s decision by the Bank of England to freeze interest rates, Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said:
“Today’s expected cut in interest rates, which would have been a welcome reprieve for workers and households has been dashed. If monetary policy can’t ease the cost-of-living crisis, we need direct government action.”
