Boost to jobs, pay and conditions at Dunfermline based firm 

Unite can confirm that approximately 120 workers employed by TechnipFMC have accepted an enhanced pay offer after the threat of strike action. 

Strike action which was set to take place on Monday for seven days was suspended after the company tabled a last minute offer.  

The workers overwhelmingly backed the new offer which will deliver a three per cent pay increase alongside a one-off £700 payment, and a day's extra holiday this year. 

Unite general secretary Sharon Graham said: “TechnipFMC workers remained resolute to get an improved pay offer. This was secured after our members announced strike action. It’s a good win for Unite and helps to deliver better jobs, pay and conditions for our members.” 

TechnipFMC designs and manufactures wellheads and specialist subsea equipment for the oil and gas industry.   

Unite industrial officer, Graeme Smith said: “This pay deal would not have been possible without our members standing together and forcing management back to the negotiating table. Unite will build on this deal to ensure we continue to improve the working conditions of our members at TechnipFMC.”
